1/11/11, 11:11:11a.m. What ‘cha gonna do?
on Monday, January 10, 2011Every once in a while the planets align and an idea comes together. Today is one of those days. Tomorrow has the auspicious date of 1/11/11 (as we write it in the US). Let’s use this date as an impetus to get something started!
My latest inspiration came when I received an email from a colleague of mine, Paulette Ensign. Paulette is the master of inspiring tips and turning them into products.
Here is a snippet from her e-zine.
“Look at tomorrow’s date, 1/11/11, as it is written in America. With all the “1′s,” it’s a great reminder about what it takes to get started with your booklet.
It takes one tip that starts one booklet that gets you to your first sale. No matter how large your overall plan is for booklets, information product development, and your business, it is and will always be in units of one. It’s not uncommon to hear a booklet author enthusiastically state “I can do lots of booklets” or “I want to create lots of products and services.” While that may be completely true if not admirable and even appropriate, it starts with one.
ACTION: Gather together everything you have already written – the articles, books, blog posts, seminar handouts and outlines, transcripts from teleclasses and interviews, and anything else. Pull the most basic suggestions from those materials to use as tips for your first booklet.”
OK! So Paulette inspired me to look for ONE thing I can do to pull a tip from my frequently asked questions, blog posts, etc. by end of day tomorrow 1/11/11.
I want to challenge you to do the same but add one element!
