Karen M. O’Keefe

Karen M. O’Keefe, Business Growth Strategist. During Karen’s successful career with large firms, she has been involved in many aspects critical to building profit and strength within the organization. Not only is she versed in strategic planning, problem solving, and logistics, she understands the importance of finding solutions that work. Her experience includes international commerce, arbitration and contract negotiations, as well as management of multi-million dollar budgets.

Launching her first venture, Evergreen Funding Group, Karen has especially enjoyed serving the legal community over the last two years. Evergreen Funding Group has a national reach providing funding solutions for plaintiff attorneys and their clients.

Karen adds her experience in the corporate world and as a business owner to the team at Connectworks. As a Business Growth Strategist with Connectworks, she helps professional service providers plan for happiness. She is gifted in analyzing a situation and mapping out a solution quickly. She looks forward to partnering with Busy Professionals in the Portland Metropolitan Area to build and grow profitable practices. 

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Karen moved to Oregon to attend grad school after obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree from Villanova University. She loved Portland so much she decided to call it home. In addition to tap dancing, Karen enjoys reading mystery and suspense novels and visiting with friends. She and her husband, Dave, also have fun spending time with the king of the house, their cat named Max.

  • Served in all officer roles during 10 years of service in transportation management
  • Served on the board for the Pacific Northwest Association of Rail Shippers (PNWARS)
  • Served two years on the board of the National Association of Rail Shippers (NARS)
  • Represented employer as a member of the Paper and Forest Industry Transportation Committee (PFITC), a subsection of the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA)
  • Served on the Oregon Ports Advisory Committee for two years, a committee appointed by the Governor to advise on financial matters related to our ports
  • Chosen and trained to serve on a team of in-house facilitators
  • Volunteered as an arbitrator with the Better Business Bureau for four years
